Sunlight on Winter Water
Sunsparkles caught in pockets of watery magic
Dancing on the backs of ripples with radiant delight
So effervescently bright, sparking a dizzy happiness,
A giddy lift of spirits, as spring sap rises.
This light shower plays across the blue lake mirror
Playfully ruffling the reflection of crisp winter skies,
Scattering promises of summer's return in its wake
Tickling the ears with winter's last lingering whisper.
