A space found in the
mind
When cornered,
The insistence that
there is more
Than meets the eye,
The sudden unfolding
Of an origami bird’s
wing
Out of an
unsuspecting
Piece of plain paper.
The quick conversion
Of bread to umbrella
sellers
On the streets of
Istanbul.
That moment at the
end
Of the night after
they’ve
Walked home together.
A chance meeting of
Old friends in the
street.
The scent of an olive
leaf
Or the soft brush of
a
Dove’s feather that
inspires
A move to make
amends.
The chorus of birdsong
Heralding the new day
And the rise and fall
Of each new breath.
Today’s theme was one of three chosen by
an inspiration donor.
